Counselling and Psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples in Central London (Oxford Circus, W1), West London (Notting Hill, W11) and Online
Problems with a particular relationship is often what brings people to relationship counselling and psychotherapy. As an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist I offer a non judgmental space where we can think together about the interaction and the conflicts of this relationship, seek to understand the recurrent patterns of difficulties you are facing and resolve the underlying issues. Counselling and psychotherapy may involve exploring the past to the extent that it influences the present
Some of the issues couples and individuals bring to relationship counselling and psychotherapy are:
- Communication issues, conflict and anger
- Sexual difficulties and lack of intimacy
- Depression and/or anxiety
- Divorce and separation
- Fertility issues
- Parenting issues
- Dealing with family conflicts: blended families, in-laws
- Infidelity and trust issues
- Bereavement and loss
- Work stress and redundancy
- Retirement, ageing
Couples counselling and psychotherapy is a safe space where partners can talk and listen to each other openly. The aim of couple therapy is to foster awareness and understanding of the problems affecting the relationship. It provides the opportunity to think about the dynamics of the relationship and get better attuned to your emotions and those of your partner with the support of the psychotherapist. The aim of couples counselling and psychotherapy is to help the couple become less troubled and burdened by their difficulties, and feel better equipped to deal with the ups and downs that inevitably happen in life. It might, at times, involve supporting the couple to reach the right decision for them whatever that decision may be.
As a relationship counsellor and psychotherapist I work with individuals who are in a relationship and would like to understand the difficulties they are facing. I also see individuals who have ended a relationship and want to make sense of what has happened.
In addition to my role as a supervisor at TR, I also supervise private practitioners with their work with couples and individuals.
I am also able to offer online supervision
